International Nurses Day

This year's theme is” Our Nurses, Our Future”. 2023 marks 203 th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.

Did you know, that "nurses account for more than half of all the world’s health workers", according to the WHO, "yet there is an urgent shortage of nurses worldwide with 5.9 million more nurses still needed".

World Migratory Bird Day

World Migratory Bird Day is an important day in bird conservation. The day was introduced to create more awareness on protecting birds and their natural habitats.

The theme in 2023 is: “Water”. 

Many schools from around the world take part in numerous ongoing events - not only on this day, including bird-watching and bird-counting, virtual dramas and painting exhibitions.
